Backrest upright, tables folded, devices switched off, left in place as long as the light is on and no smoking during the flight… One of the most important parts of flying is often ignored: the safety instructions.

Obviously, the airlines are obliged to keep us informed but they hate to see indifference and ennui among the passengers. Not less than a creative challenge, it has been successfully accepted and nailed by some of the best in class carriers. No wonder, the result leaves anyone whether in the sky or on the ground entertained and most importantly, able to get through all the instructions with ridiculously high levels of curiosity.

Air New Zealand

This is perhaps the most epic safety video, entirely in the style of The Hobbit. Our inner geek is working overtime! “YOU SHALL NOT… SMOKE ON THIS PLANE!”. With this video, Air New Zealand claims a spot on our list.

Virgin Atlantic

Virgin Atlantic has won our hearts and recognition being the most artistic safety videos. In this animated 5-minute-long safety cartoon a passenger nods off during a flight attendant's safety demonstration, and in his dreams, he becomes a hero of the films of various genres - from western to superheroes - all explaining the instructions.

Turkish Airlines

After the success of the Lego Movie , Turkish Airlines asked the makers to create a safety video. Together with several famous superheroes, the video is put together brick by brick!

Air Arabia
