By car to or from Edinburgh Airport (EDI)

The airport is about 30 minutes drive from the city centre, a distance of about 13 kilometers.

To the Airport by public transport

• Bus
  It takes about 30 minutes to reach the Airport by bus.The airlink bus runs every fifteen minutes from the airport to Edinburgh's central station. All buses stop outside the main entrance.

• Taxi

Taxi will take 30 minutes from the airport to the city centre. Please contact one of the registered taxi companies to book a taxi.

• Train

Although the airport doesn't have its own rail station, it is connected by tram or bus. The airlink 100 runs 24 hours a day and connects to both Waverley and Haymarket stations.

Parking at the Airport

If you are leaving your car at the airport or if someone is dropping you off, parking at is easy. The airport offers the following options:

• Long Stay Parking
  This car park offers cheaper rates and is only a 5 minute bus ride from the airport.

• Terminal Parking
  Save time and park directly outside the terminal in the terminal parking area.

• Vallet Parking
  Simply drive up to the terminal, drop off your keys and let someone else take care of parking your car for you.

• Blue Badge Parking
  Anyone holding a blue badge can have up to 1 hour free parking. Disabled bays are extra wide.
