Introduction to Air Caraïbes
Air Caraïbes is French Caribbean's regional airline and is based in Pointe-à-Pitre International Airport on the island of Guadeloupe with an additional hub in Le Lamentin Airport, Fort-de-France on the island of Martinique. The airline is the result of a merger of four local airlines in 2000 with the intention to build one regional airline for all of the French Caribbean territories. Aside from operating close to 100 daily inter-island Caribbean flights, Air Caraïbes also offers service to Brazil, Cuba, Guyana and three daily flights to and from Paris (Orly).
